I on behalf of the Managing Committee of Vision Welfare Society introduce ourselves as a Voluntary Non Profit Philanthropic Organization, purely serving the Nation with the mission for “Prevention Of Blindness and Sight Restoration” amongst eye patients. We are managing Namita Biswas Memorial Eye Hospital which caters to the demand of “Prevention & Care Of Blindness” and “Treatment & Surgery” in connection with the ailment of Eye Disease.

I remember with gratefulness the abundant assistance, co-operation and advice received from Dr. Olav Hodne for the development of this Hospital, Health Department of the Govt. of West Bengal, 24-Parganas (South), Rajpur-Sonarpur Municipality and to all our well-wishers in the locality. I am also honoured by the support of all Doctors and Employees of VWS to keep up the high reputation of services rendered to all the patients including the indigent ailing eye patients during my tenure as Hony. Secretary. The support and assistance of all the members of the Managing Committee is very much appreciated.

I hope and believe that VWS will forge ahead in the years to come to fulfill the main objective to remove “ Blindness of all sections of the Society”. It is the Moto of this Hospital that “None should suffer visual impairment for want of fund”. Our Hospital is rendering dedicated service for more the 44 years to the cause of Eradication Of Blindness from the society. A good number of distressed patients are treated not only free but also spectacles are given to them.
